Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder

Simon Burrage

Simon is a co-founder of Form8tion based out of our London offices. Simon leads the team with his wealth of experience across the data center sector.

Before co-founding Form8tion, Simon served as CEO of Crown Hosting Data Centres and was instrumental in delivering data centre solutions across the UK public sector under a joint venture with the UK Cabinet Office, one of the most successful IT frameworks ever tendered by the British government, delivering multi-billion pound savings.

Prior to this role, Simon served as Commercial Director for Ark Data Centres. Having acquired Ark for its current investors in 2012, he then joined the board to help lead its growth from the original ~£100m capitalisation to its current valuation of ~£3bn. His responsibilities ranged from legal, to governance, to compliance, to site selection, and to negotiating client contracts with US and Asian hyperscale clients.

Before Ark Data Centres, Simon was a lawyer at Hogan Lovells and then Eversheds Sutherland, practising real estate and commercial law working on major property transactions with a focus on complex and/or alternate investments in the UK and in Europe.

Simon holds degrees in both Engineering and in Law and is a qualified solicitor.

Chief Revenue Officer

Roy Gibbens

Roy is a co-founder of Form8tion with 15+ year’s experience successfully delivering data centre solutions to a wide range of enterprise and hyperscale clients. He has a passion for providing solutions genuinely fit for purpose and always puts clients first. Roy, is responsible for all of the company’s sales, sales channels, and marketing. 

Prior to joining Form8tion, Roy served on the board of Ark Data Centres as Executive Director of Sales and Marketing where he was instrumental in taking a <5MW single site provider to a 100MW+ multiple-campus data center operator. Roy successfully contracted with multiple US hyperscale clients, Asian cloud providers and enterprise clients across the Telco, Colocation, Financial and System Integrator market sectors.
